“No one is as capable of gratitude as one who has emerged from the kingdom of night.”
As we round out 2016 at PCA, it is both thrilling and humbling to measure the growth and reach of our efforts. The images here reflect only a tiny fraction of the strength and support that works and plays among us in our communities. They mentor, they support, they encourage, they question, they tell some truths, and the help clean up mishaps. And they have chosen PCA and CCAR as the vehicle to fuel their soul power.
This reflection highlights the diversity of our coaches. They are working in healthcare, in residential treatment programs, drug courts, employment services, opiate replacement treatment, recovery community centers, and recovery advocacy organizations. Our coaches are comprised of coaches, mentors, CEO’s, Program Directors, Outreach Coordinators, interns, re-entry professionals. And we keep growing.
This is my Thanksgiving post for Peer Coach Academy Colorado. The incredible gifts I have received and continue to reap are undeniably worth all the work, the problem solving, the networking, the planning, the re-planning and the reassuring. Thank you universe, for affording me this incredible opportunity!
My giving of thanks would not be complete without the sincerest of gratitude for CCAR and Meaningful Trainings. Phil, Stacy, Art, and Fell have graciously given of their time, their experience, their insight, their wisdom, and their support to keep me feeling connected when I didn’t feel that way at all. That support has carried me when I have been unsure about going forward.
